    Inequality Studies? Seriously?

    https://inequality.cornell.edu/minor/

I didn't even know that was a thing. I have a very hard time believing that anyone who goes to an Ivy League College knows the first thing about so-called "Inequality", or understands anything about being one of the downtrodden in our society.

That's the problem with Liberals and Democrats who get educated in this nonsense today. They think their education can make them relate to the downtrodden and "unequal" members of our society. I don't think so. They no more know anything about being "of the street" than they do about changing the oil in their Prius. In my experience, most of these students (though not all) come from middle-class suburbs, and know nothing about the struggles of race, racism, or even poverty.

I never gave much thought to colleges indoctrinating students in Liberalism. I always knew it existed, but not so openly. Whenever I hear the word "Inequality", an image of a whining child who stomps their feet pops into my head. Just say it to yourself: "WWHHHAAA! Inequality! WHAAAA!"

Inequality Studies.....what a joke. Don't forget the Safe Spaces, Cornell.

    /rant off.

You won't have to worry about stuff like this when you move out to the sticks.

I don't know about Cornell, but at Yale - there are huge numbers of minority students that pay little, or no, tuition - and meet lower entrance scores. So, they can go on to major in "women's studies", "african-american studies", etc. - and then rant about how unfairly they have been treated.

Oh, no ! Wouldn't changing the oil increase their "carbon footprint"?

There's a whole Supreme Court case about that, too.

What does one do with a degree in inequality? Teach it? I would hire someone with a 8th grade education before someone that had a degree in inequality.

If we teach people that inequality is wrong then we also have to teach them that the only way there can be any "justice" or "fairness" in the world is for the government (with the right people in charge) to control everything.

Why would somebody want to learn about how to work a problem to end up with a wrong answer, i.e. an "inequality", meaning the two sides of the equation don't agree? All this program name does is to expose what anybody who has had a job in the multiple decades since "equal opportunity" raised its ugly head already knows: there is no desire to get the right answer because the real money is made in perpetuating the problem while milking every last angle for every last dollar. It's a very rare productive person in a real job who can't point to a person or department in their current or past employment who would be a textbook case for what I've described.

Yes you do. Or you hire someone. There is a gas motor in those things. Cousin has one. It's actually a nice enough car. IIRC 10k oil changes.
