In recent years we've seen electronic score keeping (most of the time), Masters shooting in Major Sub, a tremendous improvement in the time it takes to get scores, a better website, etc.

    What's in store for 2005?

    Consistant performance by volunteer ROs.

    Clearer rules and definitions.

I know it won't happen but a change in the course of fire, I'm ready for something new.

    OK, a return to reality:

I expect a return to paper scoring for the first half of the year.

I agree about the course of fire. We need more steel, at least in my opinion.

Why are you expecting a return to paper for a while?

I was just thinking some of the same stuff. I was just looking over the rules as posted in the Volume 1, 2004 Glock Report...and for classes other than UL/Masters, connectors and firing pins (I thought they were strikers) that are aftermarket/modified are not allowed.

Aftermarket is pretty obvious. But what's modified? Is smoothing rough edges and polishing the parts a modification? Is Dale Rhea style slicing and dicing the striker a modification? For the first question, I'm not sure. For the second, I'd say yeah, if you've signifigantly altered the mass and dimensions of the striker, it's been modified. What about undercutting the trigger guard? The average RSO is not going to notice any of these things...but clearer rules would be nice.

As for course of fire changes, how about some Texas Stars?

I think the biggest surprise of all will be if I break 100

Fireglock - what's the over/under on that happening?

Same here. Also might see continued rise in families, adult females & juniors participating.

If Jerry doesn't have the break on that, I think Adm. Poindexter had a "futures" program he tried to sell the Pentagon that you might have to look into... :joker:

Rusty, I'd give it a plus or minus 2 matches.

..some kind of yearly colminating event...@ the Conyers match.

Glock invites all other pistol manufacturers to take part..as well as "other than Glock shooters"..there are some "subtle" changes in the rules..during this match..but it becomes a "national/international" event... w/the worlds top shooters/teams, and not so top shooters/teams, in attendance.

... and the "Glock girls" come out w/a 05 GSSF calender.

... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
