Our More GSSF Tips 2003 are nearly at a midpoint of production. Some of the Master Class shooters have donated some of their time and much of their knowledge and experiences to share with all shooters and competitors on this board. I know from several conversations with new shooters and seasoned competitors that the "tips" have been printed and used to share with others but is there anything that we are missing to help encourage or coach GSSF shooters?

Let's all search our thoughts and opinions and share together the "needs" to assist the sport and continued participation on this board, encouraging new shooters and assisting current competitors.

Now let your fingers start their typing and let's share some ideas.

I'll be glad to do a topic of "match preparation checklist" for the newcomers to GSSF.

    Danny,
That would be appreciated by many of the "new" shooters. Perhaps with your list and the "tips", our current competitors will armed and ready to enlist new shooters and to assist with coaching our most recent competitors.

    Thanks,Danny.

Yous guys are doing a good job of "Giving away your secrets and making life easier." So, when you do the equipment list for the new folks, be sure to include a fold-up chair.

Wes all gonna need one to wait in the long lines to follow!

Heck, just more time to visit, right?;)

    Glockrunner,
You have an "excellent" idea. Afterall, one of the major factors to keep in mind is "maintaining a steady heart rate" when shooting. So, if you are tired, it's hard to do that.

Let's add a stool or foldup chair to our list of "things to bring".

    Thanks for the "tip".

i believe in the old tips from the pro's thread you commented on taking care of the body

you know - the importance of

eating, drinking, smoking (or not to smoke :))

    and

    yawn!

    sleeping

and overall level of physiucal fitness

its late, but i dont remember seeing it in the new thread

perhaps you could revisit that topic?

(finally got the baby to go to sleep - now im going to try as well)

    Good observation, Rusty,
We'll post an updated "physical prep" list soon.

    Thanks for the continued support,
    Bobby

Sounds like basic match preperation would be a good topic. What do you do just before you shoot the match. :)
