I prefer making tacos at home. I do eat taco bell on occasion and sometimes I'll get a taco salad at mexican restaurants. When I'm home I can create it the way I want it. I usually make myself a taco salad by breaking up the shells. I'll then add lots of meat, usually seasoned ground beef and possibly chorizo. Shredded lettuce, sliced black olives, diced onions, diced tomatoes, diced chile peppers and drenched in salsa.
