I am somewhat of a .40 cal guy, but that changed when the Gen5 Glocks came out. I now carry regularly a Gen5 19 with Ameriglo Bold sights and it’s the one everybody hates with the non beveled frame, which doesn’t bother me at all. I also have 2 19x’s, a 19 with beveled frame, a 19 mos and most recently a 26 Gen5 with FS.

The non beveled 19 stays in the truck and I’ve been carrying the 26.5 in a shoulder holster, which I find very comfortable in the winter. Still love my .40 cal but I guess you could say I’m a Gen5 9mm guy. I live in Virginia so that was part of the reason I got the 26.5 to be somewhat compliant if my standard capacity 19 mags became illegal. They put that on hold for a year but I don’t regret the purchase of the 26.5.

    TLDR.... anything Gen5 9mm

300.00 with tax out the door? How? Thats a steal. Which finish? Chalkboard or the Fruing Pan Finish? Id buy a factory 40sw barrel for it too. Cheaper shooting.

Thats a great deal on the 22 and you stole the 31. Good for you. Now all you need is a 300.00 G17 in decent shape. Then your set for the ammo shortages.

All the Gen 5 models are an improvement over the earlier models.

    Gen 3 or 4, G23 .40 cal.

I have always liked the 40, as I said in another thread a moment ago. If not carrying 45, or 357 Mag, the .40 with 180 gr PDX1's will do fine. Never understood why folks don't like this cal much. I think they shoot great. No real recoil, (to me), and I just simply like the caliber. I said all this a moment ago, so I am repeating it, but with the right bullet, the 40 can be plenty nasty enough, for two legged creatures...

    Be safe.

    G19 Gen5

No finger grooves and ambi slide release. I’ve hated the finger grooves for years and tried to love Glocks in spite of them, but never could. The 19 fits every role-EDC, duty, home defense, plinking, training, you name it. We used to joke that everyone should be issued a G19 at birth haha

A few years ago, I would have said my gen3 19 with the gen2 22 a close second, but times change.

Now I prefer the ben 4 mainly for the replaceable back straps.
My preferred Glock is my G20 with the small beaver tail strap. There is nothing about this Glock that I dislike, and I still feel that 10mm is the most versatile caliber and well worth the higher cost of ammo.

    G35-3 then G23-3 then G22-3 then G20-3 then G21-3 then G30sf-3 now G19-4 and G17-4 with 19+1 extension, since I figure 6rds-9mm = 2rds-45. And still have them all plus a G20sf; I don't sell my Glocks.

This is easy: a Gen 2 G23 that I got from a LEO buddy who was downsizing and wanted to get rid of his old duty gun. I got it for $250 with three 13-round magazines. And, after all these years and all these Glocks, it's now my ONLY Glock, accompanied by a Sig Sauer P365 for EDC and a Ruger LCPII for the occasional pocket carry. Love 'em all.

I have never fired a Glock that I didn’t like. I have only shot 9mm, and Models 17,19,45, and 26. I have shot Gens 1,2,3,4, and 5. I guess if I were to only own one pistol, it might be a G19.5 with no scallop- even though I haven’t shot that exact gun. A 26.5 would also be a strong contender.

I could live with any of them, but have a slight preference for the slightly smaller circumference of the Gen4/5 and the no finger grooves, though they don’t bother me. I could do without the ambi slide release, but it doesn’t bother me much either

1.Gen4 G29. Concealable, controllable, powerful and a tack driver.
    2. Gen3 G30S. Same as above but in .45acp.
    3. Gen5 G26. When something smaller is needed.

Glock 41. Full size grip fits my hand good as anything out there. Shoots boolits nearly a half inch wide up to 1200 fps when using 185 grainers. Large hand gun with good power...I'll take it for zombies or SHTF any day.

Gen 4 G35 with AW threaded Sig barrel is a very close second...with 'M' RR strap.

I am going to ignore carry / woods carry / duty carry / night stand / etc and simply pick....

Glock 22, and I cannot pick a generation.

There is no firearm I would rather have by my side in any and all scenarios. I love .40 and I love the damned 22. I will never be without one, and if it could only be one, well, there it is...
