What Glock makes but what I really want.
19XK I whittled down the grip and sanded it really carefully until I got what I like and feels good in my hands. Being hard headed and told not to do it, I took my time to make a carry friendly 19X.

    Different Glocks for different purposes:

    G27.3 for EDC
G43 for summer deep concealment, with shorts, jogging/exercise walking
G20.4 woods carry, hunting, and bear defense
    G22.4 for home defense
G19X range toy and home defense
G19.5 MOS pistol competition and I haven't completely figured out its role yet

Glock 19 Gen 1. The grip is a little rough from when it was cut down at the factory. Great truck gun for sure though.

Share a picture of Gen 1 G19 or it just didn't happen..
I think you should consider selling you're truck gun & buy a few extra G19s..

    Preferred Glock Model & Gen?
I guess it would be the G17L Gen 3
WHY?? 9mm = cheap ammo cost & easily available, Long Sight radius, light rail, That's why Gen 3 over Gen 1 or 2.. I should just buy a 40/9 conversion barrel for my G24 + I know where a NIB G17L rests overpriced waiting for purchase..

As I have tried several Glocks.

Glock 17(s) Fabulous Full Size 9mm
Glock 21 Simply too large to comfortably carry, and too large for my medium sized hands.
Glock 26 Gen 3. Great carry gun, impossibly accurate. Loved mine, bought for then soon to be wife.
Glock 27 Recoil a bit too snappy for me.

Glock 30 Generation 3. Perfect all-around gun for me. Deadly accurate.45 ACP in WORKING, DEADLY RELIABLE compact size. Concealable as a Glock 19, carries and hides well, and features the historically proven stopping power of the .45 ACP cartridge.

As I can only really afford ONE Glock for CCW, I had to settle for ONE model that covered ALL the bases.

Though I have had to sell all but my Glock 30, it has been my main CCW for over twenty years.

It's the ultimate in all around versatility. I really enjoy the Gen5 engineering upgrades. The G19 has seemingly unlimited aftermarket support. Just a fun gun to have..[IMG]

I have a G-17-4 the wife's actually, she liked the feel of the grip better than a gen 3, it is only mine to clean. I have a G-20 and 29 both gen 4's, I was having righthand troubles and thought I might have to learn lefty so the ability to change the Mag release was a plus (I have gotten my right hand back to 90% or so). We have two G-42's, they only come in Gen 4 I believe. We got hers as a early adopter, when many were having trouble, hers has been trouble free. Mine is a much later edition, I just got it as she did not want me breathing on her's, let alone shoot it.

Finally to truly answer the question. I have a Gen 4 G-33. I got it in Gen 4 for the same reasons as above, but this little gun can fit in my pocket, or IWB. I feel comfortable shooting this gun and I am happy to have that 'snappier' 357 Sig round in my short barreled gun. It is my carry Glock

I have always lusted after a G-23 or 32 but the G-19 grip frme does not please my hand, nor the wife's hands, can't really say why, they just don't make me comfortable (Neither does the G-29, but I shoot it okay)

    holster1.JPG IMG_3403.JPG The Generation 3 Model 21. 13 plus .45's in an accurate soft shooting package. G17 Generation 4 leaves me cold. CZ's are better 9MM's. IMG_3403.JPG

I started out with G17.3 about 20 years ago, and saw no reason to change ... until the 43 came out and I started carrying more. I couldn't get happy with the G19.3 or 4, but when the Gen 5 came out (no finger grooves), I was hooked.

I still carry the 43, the 17 has become a range toy, and the 19 is the all-around favorite (and house gun).

*This is my Glock perfection : Gen 4 of your choice with Ameriglo I-Dot Pro night sights , a Gen 3 trigger bar / smooth face trigger replacement , reduced power plunger spring , reduced power striker spring (#5.5 lb. -> #5.0 lb.) , Talon rubber grip tape fitted for appropriate size back strap and lastly a $0.25 trigger job (everything else kept stock) and secret sauce for the connector (Gun Butter). Trigger now reduced from #5.5 lb. down to #4 lb. ... Still safe, reliable for carry and trigger pull weight reduced just enough until front sight does not waver on the target while squeezing the trigger .

The 19 is our favorite gun and fits multiple roles and the wife and I both shot it well. The 43 is starting to replace the 26 just because of the easy of carrying it. Although, the 26 is so versatile, it will be hard to ever replace that gun.
