Do you have a spice blend that you put on just about everything you eat? For me, it is Desert Garden's Chipotle spice blend. I discovered this stuff about nine years ago and I've gone through dozens of bottles, since then.

This stuff goes on eggs and sandwiches, pastas and beans. You name it. I have yet to find a food whose flavor isn't enhanced by this stuff. It is smokey, with just a hint of sweet and a pleasing amount of heat, but not too much of it. Desert Gardens (By Comfort foods) makes a huge variety of spices, salsa mixes and such and I like everything I've tried, but this Chipotle spice is amazing.

So, what is your go-to spice or spice blend?

Garlic powder is a good thing, so are onion powder, black pepper, and no-salt.

If you like that, have you tried any of Chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic spices? His pasta blend rocks.

    Here's another outstanding company:

Who has heard of Garlic Festival, http://www.garlicfestival.com ? I discovered them at a renaissance fair about ten years ago. If you love garlic as much as I do, you have GOT to check these guys out! My favorites are their Garlic-Garni and Garlic-Ghetti. I use these almost as much as my chipotle spice and that is saying something.

Just when I think I was maybe being too subtle, someone pulls out the save.:wavey:

I never tried any of Emeril's stuff. Paul Prudhomme and Tony Chachere's are the big guns.

Tarragon, though some may argue it is a herb rather than a spice.
