My wife makes a mean manicotti, but my mom makes a top secret clam dip that is a family legend...

What are some of the dishes in your family that you love?

A salad consisting of endive, with hot bacon bits and vinegar poured over it. my mother makes it. Also, when my gma was living, she made sweetbreads that were absolutely mouth watering.Sweetbreads are a gland in a cows neck.My aunt when she was living made 2 things that I loved.A bread and rum pudding made from a very old recipe that was excellent and a baked ham that the meat fell off the bone.

I like my own cooking. Funny how everything I cook comes out just the way I like it.

My wife's meatloaf is pretty good. Dad fries the best turkeys and my SIL makes the best chocolate meringue pie you've ever tasted.

My favorite thing the wife cooks is almost anything - As long as she lets ME finish cooking it.

If I dont, it's still wiggling or it's carbon...

    BTW, she freely admits this.

My wife took to gourmet cooking as a hobby about fifteen years ago and turns out some incredible dishes on the weekends when she has time. Her boeuf en croute is by far one of the greatest things I've ever had. HH
