    Remington 700 SS in 30.06 with a Leupold VX-III 2.5x8 on top.
If the cover is really thick I use my Remington 870 12ga.

For the last 5 years or so, my son and I have really enjoyed using Ruger 77 KMKII rifles in 25/06. They are topped with Simmons AETEC 2.8x10x44 scopes. For muzzle loader season, we use 50 caliber Knight DISC rifles, also with AETEC's on 'em.

.243 that my Uncle gave me. He got it in a trade. He gave the guy a dog and he got the rifle. This will be my second year in the field and I am really hoping this year I get some blood on the gun.

Awesome! I am a huge fan of smokepoles and I won't even use a true traditional ML. Kudos to you for being a true purist. Someday I will try and hunt with a Hawken.

I currently use a .54 cal Traditions Timber Ridge with a Tasco Pronghorn 3-9x40. I also use a smooth bore Mossy 500 with rifled Remington slugs.
There is no centerfire rifle season in Indiana.

Browning BAR in 30-06 (NOT the military version ;g). Heavy, but that just makes me walk slower so I see more.

In the brush. Marlin lever in .32WCF. Great little brush gun

More accurate than I can shoot, for now. ;)

There are guys at the Cascade Rifle & Pistol Club who are shooting 2" groups at 100yds with traditional rifles. I am shooting 4" to 5" groups, I really need to bear down.
