Isn't it the handle that prints the most when carrying so why not just carry the 48 with the longer slide? Anybody see an upside for the 43x? Also if anyone owns a p365 with a 15 round mag, does the mag extend longer than the 43x if compared? Thanks.

My 12rd P365 mag sits the pistol grip flush to the bottom of my hand. If you're worried about printing, then rethink your clothes and holster options. Plenty of folks myself included carry pistols larger than your speaking about.

The slide length makes it easier to carry depending on where on your body you carry. Obviously if you are carrying appendix the barrel needs to compromise with your body to sit comfortably.
The thinner grip makes a big difference IWB, but the full grip makes it still feel like a fighting gun.
The p365 is tiny and still shoots great. The grip feels like a 3/4 roll of quarters in the hand. 2 different class weapons imo. Sub compact vs compact. Everyone like to compare the two but not really fair to either weapons. The have different strengths.

If you carry AIWB, the 48 shines. Otherwise, the 43X may carry a little better. Some claim to prefer the balance and recoil characteristics of the 43X.

I personally carry a 48 but am quite fond of the Hellcat. My only gripe with the Hellcat is the short barrel. If you go to JM Custom Kydex website and look at the Wing Claw AIWB holsters, you’ll notice they only offer Hellcat holsters in a ‘Long’ configuration. Otherwise the short, butt-heavy little gun wants to roll forward out of your pants. More length provides stability when carrying. I could imagine this applying to a 43X as well, but can’t speak to that from experience.

Yes. The 43x is a huge improvement over the 43. The 43 grip is so small, it’s difficult for someone with full sized hands to fire
rapidly with high accuracy. I’ve qualified with both. Shooting as fast as I can, all hits with the 43 were on target, but there was no bias toward the 5 ring. With the 43x, times were similar, but hits were all in the 5, like they would be with a larger gun. The larger grip makes a huge difference. And it’s still small enough to hide away and be easy to conceal. ="0110010001, post: 29377296, member: 302216"]Isn't it the handle that prints the most when carrying so why not just carry the 48 with the longer slide? Hello welcome to GT. I bought a blue label 43X and I’m very happy with it’s compact size. I find it controllable and easy to conceal.

Welcome to G.T. from southern Illinois. The purpose is to give Glock consumers another option--I like my G43X, but some people prefer the G48.

If you were going to compare a bone stock 43X and 48, the longer sight radius is a no brainer. The extra length is no factor AIWB, it will carry just as comfortable. 48 wins this scenario.

Once you introduce a RDS into the equation, the 43X wins for sure. I can pack a 43X with a micro carry comp into the same length, and the sight radius is mostly irrelevant.

    YMMV! Love them both TBH.
