It's been weeks now. I'm sure we've all seen the ads from people who want to get rich selling ... stuff that's not worth what they seem to think it is.

Not sure if it'd be violating rules to post links but ... what's the best you've seen so far?

NOT a debate about supply/demand or the dark nature of capitalism... only humor please.

    Mine:

CZ52. Ad states: Buy now before it's banned. SPECIAL CONSIDERATION BAN for this pistol because it uses a necked cartridge that can penetrate body armor. $400

OLD, and I mean OOOOOLD Mini14, dinged, scratched, pitted, that someone threw a tapco stock on. $750. Also, it was being sold as a PRE BAN - as in, the "ban" that Obama announced the Sunday after Sandy Hook. :whistling:

I've seen some good ones. Probably the best one was in the gun store I work part time at. We had a guy put two Ar15's on consignment. These gems were a Bushmaster Carbon 15 with some jank red/green dot optic and a UTG quad rail. The other was a DPMS sporter configured the exact same way as the Carbon 15. He put a price of $2,100 each. They were sold within 10 minutes of being on the floor. Made me want to put my SCAR 16 up for $5,000 and see if it sold.

    $1,000 for 1k rounds of M855.

    $55 for PMag's locally.

$3,500 for a DPMS M4 from a private seller. :wow:

PMags at a fairly local gunshow (in Fredericksburg, VA) going for $100.00 each.

Jokingly, I put my (unfired) AR6721 up for sale, for a 1-day only price of $61,999.95.

Needless to say, no-one called me.

I sold my DPMS Sportical with a 6x32 P4 Sniper scope for $925 including two mags and a quad rail.. You can't get any fairer than that.
Someone was selling a S&W sporter for $2000. Some people just don't have a conscience.

I disagree...people can ask what they want to get..Its more like some people are STUPID enough to actually PAY these prices. No one is forcing people to actually buy $700 guns for $2000...right now many people are just DUMB enough to do so and thats on them.

It's going to be really funny when the "ban" doesn't happen. If the AWB doesn't happen, there are gonna be a lot of people unloading this stuff for cheap.

And in I we will swoop to graciously relieve people of their paperweights! I predict a large number of orders being cancelled.

They may be unloading them for cheap, but, those that paid 'panic prices' are going to TRY to sell at the 'after panic' at 'panic prices', and are going to be verrrrrrrrrrrrry upset at their loss.

If people are smart, they'll hold on to what they have.

We might dodge a ban this time, but a hi cap magazine ban or another AWB will happen eventually.

This country elected Obama twice, stupidity abounds.

Just saw a Beretta M9 for $900. Seller emphasized that it is very similar to the military's M9 because of "distinctive military style markings".

Two DPMS ARs on consignment at a LGS. One was purchased from the store about 4 months ago for about $850, he's priced both at $1900. Even the folks at the store think he's lost his mind.

Prices have leveled off and interest is waning from what I see. LGS had a wall full of black rifles today, first time in weeks that was the case. Over priced but full, that tells me that interest has slowed and thus price will.

Even if the market crashes I have no interest in anymore 5.56 ARs ( I have a couple and thats all I want) but a 2nd AR in 6.8 or one in .50 would be sweet. And I still want a ACR as well. And maybe A PTR91.......that should do it for me.... :)

One guy posted 1,000 rounds for .223, for $1,000. crazy!

I may get one more AR (after the craziness) that will give me two and that's all I need.

I'll wait until I can get a Colt for $500 because someones rent is due.:whistling:
