    I'd vote for Hamburger Hill.

If 'Band of Brothers' counts as a movie (really a mini-series), it gets my vote. If not, I'd have to go with 'The Bridge On the River Kwai' or 'Full Metal Jacket.' Haven't seen 'The Hurt Locker' yet.

Ok, not really, but it cracked me up.

Saving Private Ryan, but I'd vote for Band of Brothers if series were allowed.

    It wouldn't win the vote.

For me it would come down between Saving Private Ryan, Blackhawk Down, or We Were Soldiers.

I wouldn't dare argue it's the best war movie ever made but the one that I enjoy the most and has the highest repeat viewing factor is Platoon, with Full Metal Jacket a close second.

    We Were Soldiers probably.

Gibson's character is who we'd all like our leaders to be, though few of them are.

That's a tough one. Lots of good ones. I really enjoyed Memphis Belle. Not the best, but it's up there as one of my faves.

    My gosh -- what choices!

At this time, I'd have it narrowed down to Blackhawk Down, Zulu, The Longest Day, and Pork Chop Hill...

But there be sooooooooo many good ones...
