I got to handle one of PB Dionisio's Ranger Pistol with the so-called Black Diamond Finish a long time ago and find it a good alternative for a black finished pistol. I'd like to ask everyone if you have any ideas on the finish. It is aesthetically appealing to the eye and the rough, stippled sort of feel is very nice (like skkateboard tape). Will it affect lubricity? How about rust resistance? Is it good or better than blueing? hard chrome? They are charging P 4,500 for a 1911 pistol. Not bad though. Thanks for all your inputs.
