Is it electric?
It is both. It is the world's first hybrid, introduced in 1900 and designed by an untrained eoghteen year old engineer by the name of Ferdinand Porsche.
The were very popular for a few years, and then sat around waiting for technology to catch up with the idea.
It had electric wheel motors built into the wheel hubs for propulsion. the battery pack in one version weighed almost two tons. The company was Lohnen.
