I have never heard birds chirping every single day by 3 or 3:30am. Before this maybe 4:30 was typical, even 5am.

What the hell is going on.

A Whippoorwill will sing non-stop all night. But you have to be in the country to hear it.

I've cussed them before because they won't shut up. Beautiful song but they can keep you awake.

I remember a mockingbird chirping it's arse off outside my bedroom window one morning at 3am. I had visions of throwing a wind up alarm clock out the window at it like they used to do in the old cartoons...

I remember I lived in the UK a variety of birds would sing at that time. Made it really hard to sleep first few nights, felt like the twilight zone. Like an abomination against the natural order of things.

Whipoorwills don’t bother me so much. I quite enjoy them, along with all the other summer critter sounds. These days my wife’s snoring is louder than Benning’a artillery range, so I always sleep with earplugs.

Birds like to make babies(lay eggs). Spring is the time for doing so. Come August they will quiet down.

    Absolutely!
    Out feeding the babies.
Anyone here who’s had babies/children know that they are not on any type of a time table.
Come August, all will be quiet except the constant humming of AC units....
