SOURCE Police: Man May Have Died During Theft Business Man Reports Body Monday To Police POSTED: Monday, March 15, 2010 UPDATED: 7:52 pm EDT March 15, 2010 DETROIT -- The body of a man has been found on Detroit's east side, and police said they believe he died in the midst of trying to steal a valuable metal. The body was found near French Road and Harper Avenue. Police said the man appears to have been trying to steal copper from a power line when he was electrocuted and fell to the ground. Police said they're not sure when the man died but that a neighborhood businessman reported the body Monday afternoon. The body has not been identified but is described by police as a middle-aged black man who neighbors reported seeing riding his bike often in the area.
