I like the current combat style sight but what do you think of this sight picture. All Glock would have to do is put three white lines on the field goal that line up with a new T front sight.

Seems like it would be more pinpoint accurate for target shooting.

not that bad, but if they wanted a target sight, there are more effective ways of doing it.

Yes I'm not talking about tactical I am talking about target sights and this would be a very Glocklike sight that makes it super easy to line up the vertical and horizontal very accurately for more precision shooting.

the problem is that the overall design of the Glock sight make it poorly suited for target shooting; this is due to the physical dimensions, not necessarily the paint scheme. IMHO, to change the paint scheme would only make the sight picture more confusing, and target acquisition would suffer more than precision would be improved. It would be easier and more effective for them to just change the entire design, but it is important to keep in mind that the Glock is not, by design, a target pistol. So, Glock would not and should not go out of the way to design a pistol specifically for target shooting. Not that they can't do it, its just that their focus is elsewhere.

What if people quit *****ing? The factory Glock sights are fantastic, much better than any aftermarket, or OEM on other pistols, that I've seen.

I would leave the stock sights alone since most people replace them anyway. Keeps the price down on the gun.

The stock sights aren't completely horrible, but there are much better options out there in my opinion.

May be the case, but they are ill-suited for target shooting.

To assume that everybody has the same requirements as you is just plain ignorant. :wavey:

Personally I like the factory sights a lot. Just wish they made them out of steel.

They do (although it seems random which guns get them). I know at least 1 person with a steel front and poly rear G19.

Pretty sure glock will put their steel sights on your gun for like 20 bucks,(an option when you ship your firearm there for whatever), I just don't know if they sell them independently.

I've also seen good shooters get better with better sights, so I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

I understand that Glock caters to the LEO but they do make long slide versions which no on CCW's and many others buy Glocks and then update the sights.

Not saying to change all the current Glocks but maybe an option for people who want a more accurate target type of sight available from the factory.
