We shot 3 courses of fire this past Saturday in Action Pistol. It rained while I shot 2 of those. I was so thankful my G34 was a Gen 4 with that excellent grip texture that shines in the rain.

This is when I wish my other Gen 2 and 3's had the same grip texture. I would prefer to just be happy with what I currently own. Darn those Gen 4's.

You could always add skateboard tape or some other sandpaper type to your 2's and 3's. Though I've found sandpaper to be uncarryable concealed.

Shame on you Barry...you know you just violated the universally natural law that nothing good can be said of Gen4 pistols without describing at least twice as much that is bad, even if you have to make it up.

I'm about to purchase a new Gen4 G33 to replace my Gen2.5 G27 with G33 barrel. I like everything about Gen4. Although it's well-known that Gen4 pistols are a significant cause of global climate change and nuclear reactor meltdown and Dutch elm disease and male pattern baldness and the heartbreak of psoriasis and lend moral/financial support for islamic democrat terrorism, I am more than willing that all humanity's chlidren and puppy dogs pay that small price.

    Welcome, Brother! :)

Barry you know about Talon right? I use textured for competition (sandpaper like) and rubber for carry. I use them mainly on my XDm's that I hated the grip on until I added these.

Since I started reloading considering a G37. The local police supplier has trade-ins for $300 but they are gen 3 and I only want gen 4. Agree gen 4 is the only way to go.

This stuff is terrific. Give it a try on your G2 and G3 models. You will be surprised.

Even the rubber ones would always grab my shirt when I moved. I printed like crazy with either type of grip, I can't be the only one?

I like the Decal Grip, Rubber finish, so far it stays on very good,
provides a grip that I like, and does not try to Sand off my Love Handles. Lol I also like the Pachmeyer slip on grips.

I have Talon rubber on my Gen 3 G19 and my Shield, and I've never had that problem. Maybe your shirts are too tight? If that's the case then you're probably printing no matter what.

I'm currently looking to finally dump my 30S in favor of a gen 4 30. Blasphemy I know.

Then again, I've been thinking I need a new caliber to reload, and a Gen 4 33 would be nice perhaps.

I'm curious as to why you don't like the 30s. That seems like a great CCW .45 to me.

Barry, Life being as short as it is suggests you develop a plan to acquire what you need/desire. I'm sure that there would be Buyers for your assets.

When I feel strongly and come out of the closet and proclaim a revelation, it's time to walk the walk. Let us know about your new acquisitions.

I have a GSSF Blue Label discount card that's burning a hole in my wallet.

I too have a 30s and have thought about getting a 30 Gen 4 to swap the frame on the 30s. It would also make for good testing to see if I was more accurate with the wider 30 slide over the thinner 30s.

Been competing with Glocks (IPSC/USPSA/3-Gun) since 1994 and have to agree with you...

The GEN4's are the cat's meow! Wouldn't go back to GEN3's for anything.
