Sounds like you and I are in line. I am not as far along as you in step 3, but I am working on getting there.

I gave my fingerprints to my local sheriff's office for a background check to get my CCW...does that count?

I have carbo/protein loaded on turkey, yams, corn casserole, stuffing, to the extent that I'm good through March without eating a single meal. I have also done the same with the terriers who act as my early warning system. A Trader Joe's has opened less than a mile away. I plan to make that my base of operations, as I like their frozen fish, and their employees will make for a supplemental food source, just wash them first...

It just keeps getting better, don't it?
If SHTF, I would max out my cards beforehand. Why pay off the credit cars and deplete your cash when the world is coming to an end? Max out on supplies. Survive. Endure. Adapt. Overcome.

You done git it now, boyeee! When the Cubans and Russians start parachuting into your town, they're going to find all the 4473 forms and the CCW permit registry and come after you!

Traders is good. I love their fresh apple juice but can't say for sure how their employees would taste. The ones here are all young kids that don't look too healthy nor thrilled to be there.

I think it would be more gratifying to whack unhappy people rather than happy people. Then it's like you're just putting them out of their misery.

Finally succumbed to those "buy gold" ads. Spent $50,000 to get $25,000 in actual gold.

Man, I feel great. My $50,000 was in paper and everyone knows it will be worthless.

I finished cleaning out a skull of a buck I killed earlier in the week. Going to mount him in the office, Euro-style.

Snapped up on what was probably exactly the last one of the Midway Aimpoints---this will complete my "fighting" AR---have been putting this off for 6 months because the $600 hit for a red dot was bit much to swallow-----at $300 it was a no-brainer.

Plumbing repair...no more leaks in the basement.

It was ok, I didn't need the $300 anyway.

Worked on goals. (This should be done at quarterly, but....)
They still need work. I need to break each item down into tasks..

It's better to lay them out and prioritize rather than just act randomly.

But hey, if you're out and about and see something you need, on sale or available when its hard to find, grab it if you can.

That is exactly what I am working on.
Breaking them down, organizing them, then prioritizing.

    This isn't really about stuff.
    It is more about doing.

I guess this is most likely to be the 2011 thread going forward. I was in the other one. Oh well.

I received some upgrades for my Remington 870 that serves as my HD shotgun and road trip car long-gun. It may even be my go-to rifle.

A Knoxx stock and a ghost ring setup with tritium inserts.

I have done a little work on my mostly emp proof car. Pulled a few pieces to repair, cleaned some parts, replaced all but one fuse with new ones. The one fuse I didnt replace I did not have one short enough. Will fix it when I get some money coming in.

Also started making plans to convert a basement bedroom to a shelter. More of a storm shelter, but will also store some more preps in there. It is ideal because it doesnt have a window. So technically it isnt considered a bedroom.
