The MSM says,"Rep. John Lewis, a Democratic congressman from Georgia is a civil-rights icon". What has he ever done for his constituents? I don't know anything about him. Would his constituents have been better off if he had never been their Representative. I heard he got his head cracked in a march. But have all his constituents gains, if they have any, come from Republicans or Dummocrats? How long has he been living off the taxpayer? Has he stolen any money from the taxpayer? Have his constituents gotten any of it? Will he get re-elected? Do you know anything about this guy? I've seen him ask stupid questions on TV, he always looked sort of dopey. Why is he called an "Icon"?

Makes you wonder if the reason he's not going.... is he got the heads up about something's gonna happen? If it does.... wouldn't that make him a co- conspirator?

    He's an icon.

    Ask him what that means.

He'll never say "I con white people into feeling guilty for stuff they never even did."

Being black does not automatically make someone a civil rights icon, or a black leader.

The black community in America has no responsible leadership. That's a large part of the black problem in this country.

The current so called "black leaders" only want to play politics and blame whitey.

Cummings is easy - he looks like a talking manatee, Lewis like a frog. Big difference but similar IQs.... ;)

You just haven't gotten it. You don't have to DO anything, just have something cool or badass in your past and you can ride that ad infinitum! Like McCain - useless, bad-tempered and his shelf life makes him an expired commodity. But he was a hero like what, 100 years ago? Respect his past action but he and Lewis are just has-beens. Deal with it, America.

He marched with King during the civil rights movement. Afterwards he went to Washington and sold out the black community for power and privilege. He uses his history to try and silence opposition. Apparently, one good deed washes away decades of corruption.

And game the system making themselves wealthy, much wealthier than their constituents. All this acrimony over CEO pay over their average worker, how about politician pay over the average income of their constituents? Tie their pay to that rubric, NOW THAT would be interesting.

The Democrat Crime Syndicate is to blame for that. They've had the reigns for generations.

He's a representation of eternal black self enslavement to victimization and state servitude. That's all they elect him for, and that's all he does.

They don't want their lives to get better, because then they'd have to admit they're not victims anymore. He doesn't want their lives better because then they won't need him anymore. It's the usual leftist dysfunctional relationship.
