This is the products page. They have products in:
    9mm, 26,19,17,34
    .357 Sig, 33,32,31
    .40 S&W, 27,23,22,35
.45 ACP, 36,30,21. The 21 and 30 also have SF(short frame) variants with a smaller grip
    .45 GAP, 39,38,37
and 10mm, 29,20. Both are also available in SF.

I listed the models from smallest to largest. Glock has also rolled out Generation 4 of many of the models, but not all.

It does indeed mean Sun Protection Factor

SPF guns are sold near equator where the sun is brighter. This keeps the polymer from degrading and the Tenifer treated metal parts from being burned and then peeling.

You have the limited edition Glock that achieves greater velocities due to much deeper grooves. It stands for Super Power Factor:whistling:

All the humor aside.... what you're usually reading about is the

    SF models?

As in G30SF? That stands for "Slim Frame" and is a marginally slimmer grip (front to back) than the regular G30. Calibers like 9mm and .40 don't have slim models. I think it's only the .45ACP and 10mm that do, at least that I can think of right now. The non SF frame... that is a fat and blocky grip. The SF model fits my hand better. And I'm no small guy. 6'0" 220.

Kidding aside, it actually stands for short frame. Not slim frame.

SF models are shorter front strap to back strap by 3mm. Gen 4 models don't come in an SF version because the interchangeable back straps accomplish the same thing.

swinokur has it right. Actually, SF is an abbreviation of Short Frame, as in the trigger reach dimension is shorter. :)

Do two Google searches of the Glock website for confirmation (search strings below):

    1. site:us.glock.com "slim frame"
    2. site:us.glock.com "short frame"

More info here: G30SF and Other Glock Short Frame Pistols

Brain farts are acceptable. The other kind may be considered bad form.
