Guys I wanted to know if any of you have had your barrels cryo tempered and if you like it. I found this company that seems to have an impressive history and writeup about it, but then again I know that most stuff found on the web is worth what you paid for it. http://www.300below.com/firearms-cryo-barrel/
I read up on it a few years back, and though the details are fuzzy, the conclusion I came to was that it's pretty worthless.
One of the big makers...Hart, Shilen, ??? one of them I can't remember ( especially on pain meds).. said it was a marketing ploy. They researched the heck out of cryo and said it wasn't worth a darn.
I personally have no experience with it, but a friend is an engineer with ATK, and he says that it is of no value.
Kreiger still does it. I think it was before drilling or before rifling. I have had a few barrels done over the years. Cant hurt, might help.
