Hunting is right around the corner. Small game opens in less than a month up here. Here's what I going for this year:

    Deer
    Coyote
    Fox
    Bobcat
    Squirrel
    Bunnies

Maybe fit in some dove or grouse. What do you have in mind this year?

    Gerogia? Where is that?

J/K - bow bear or gun hunt?

I've never shot one but would love to shoot one with a bow.

Geese, ducks, deer (bow & firearm), grouse, woodcock... and after all those seasons are over, it's coyote season.

"Early" goose season for resident giant Canadas starts in just a few days (Sept 1st).

[/QUOTE] What do you intend to hunt this season?

A water hole of some sort.....If we don't start getting some rain! ;)
It is so very dry in W. Tx, 'dust mites' will probably be the favorite game to hunt!

Things are looking really bad here, our food plot 'came up,' then dried up, and dissapeared. To late to replant, so weeds, are the the state crop in this part of Tx. The game, Turkey/deer/etc, are not looking good, and forget ducks, unless they make a emergency pit stop in a dry tank. (pond).

We do have more concern, obviously, than the game, at this point, but seriously, we need rain bad, not only for the land, and livestock, but for the game habitat as well.

Good luck to all you boys.
