I want an upper for the 350-400 range that looks exactly like this but don't know if this company is worth it since there is no BCG included and that I have found no reviews. and it has a funny twist to it.

I really want the BCM 16" SOCOM Upper but they're out

The AR I'm attempting to build will be 16" and used for plinking/target work and see some boar hunting action a few times a year.

I have also found DPMS Lowers pretty fairly priced but can't come to terms with a pencil style barrel I love the look of this barrel so much.

or the 16" version when it's back in stock. It conforms to the mil spec, and comes with a bolt group and charging handle.

The DSA guns have had lots of QC issues, like barrels coming unscrewed from barrel extensions due to meloniting the whole barrel assembly after headspacing (bad idea).

Are you just looking for super cheap? Or is it the barrel profile?

I haven't heard anything about this either, but two things worry me. It looks like this upper isn't chrome lined, and it's not clear whether or not it comes with a bolt group or charging handle. If it doesn't come with these, then the PSA upper is not only higher quality, it is actually cheaper.

Reading fail? Your link is a complete DSA upper.

I have one. It is a good shooter and great for a bargain build if you don't mind 1in9. TC barrel is nitrided inside and out. I'd buy one direct instead for $275 and pick up a good bcg if you can stand the wait. I run a Spike's BCG in mine.

Early DSA ar stuff had loads of problems and they were churning them out this cheap in the storm [see arfcom]. I've been satisfied though.

I'm for the barrel profile I do see that the AIM Surplus link I had posted was chrome lined. Why does this have to be so hard lol or worse why does BCM have to be sold out of the one that I want!

In a dream world it would be nice to have an all around gun that shoots whatever ammo I feed it with but I guess you get what you pay for per usual.
