What determines when a thread becomes closed, please?

    Since my last posting to my So what's wrong with 9mm? I went ahead with the purchase (a "Perfect Nineteen", the G30 was a very close second), figured that several who had replied might be interested. But I can't post, it's already closed (and not by me, I don't know how to do such).

    Please advise how the determination is made to close a thread, and if the thread creator (or anyone else) may reopen such.

    Six views (this will be #7) and no comment from anybody? I'd expected that this would be an administrator "manual" method, but I guess not (that would have been an easy answer), this must be some sort of automation, with the "rules" incompletely understood. It's not that important (or rather, what GT does otherwise is much more important), thanks.
