I got to thinking about this w/ all the belt threads...

What color and type of hardware do you prefer on your leather belts? Personally, I'm partial to a Black belt and Round Chrome buckle .

I follow the fashion rule of "belt and shoes should match".

Brown leather shoes = brown belt/brass buckle
Black leather shoes = black belt/nickle buckle (I would like to find a "reverse nickle" or "gunmetal" buckle)

White Reeboks = belt color doesn't matter (brown belt/brass buckle most of the time)

Since I don't use a tuckable holster my belt doesn't have to match my clothing. Everything is the color of the gun, black, so that way if my shirt rides up exposing my rig the colors won't contrast as much drawing extra attention, I like chrome/silver buckles.

I did however put a Tucker holster and belt in medium brown on order to change things up a bit...chrome buckle w/that setup as well.

I did a quick inventory & I seem to have more brown holsters & brown belts w/brass buckles. I also learned I'm somewhat "particlar" as I only wear leather holsters w/leather belts & only kydex holsters w/tactical belts

I wear untucked almost all the time, but often my cover garment will be an unbuttoned dress or Hawaiian style shirt.

I own only one gun belt; it's black with a square silver buckle. I prefer the square buckles because I believe (though I have no real cause to) that they are less harsh on the belt than rounded ones are.

I'll eventually get a brown belt with a brass buckle so I can swap them out when I swap my shoes.

I use both black and brown as well. The belt, gunleather, shoe's and watch must match, that's just me though.

I do the same thing... Main reason being, when I wear my Kydex/Instructor Belt combo, I'm usually camping, fishing, etc.. and don't want my leather getting messed up.

I have a black one and a brown one. Since my holster is IWB, it doesn't have to "match" either one. I'm getting a cordovan belt next time.
