    ...a tree!
Question of a friend whose hair had gone fewer than mine.
Branches of a neighbor's old not so big SAMPALOC tree droop by his garage. As summer heat dries leaves faster, sweeping these "fallen leaves" 3x a day proved futile. 2 used grocery bags (full to brim of leaves) are the order of the day for garbage.:crying:

Is it legal to end the life of an old tree.
YES, branches could still be there-birds' nestings can continue.

...to the farmers out there "tulungan niyo naman kaibigan ko. Kalbong-kalbo na sa kunsumisyon!

Paki PM na lang daw kung ano'ng mabisang PAMATAY.
pero secret ito ha? dehins alam nung kapitbahay.:tongueout:

Although sampaloc leaves are corrosive to galvanized roof, I believe there are other alternatives other than killing the tree.

One good thing you can do is to trim the branches that droop on his garage. If you kill the tree and not get rid of it, the dead tree can pose a danger to life and property if left to rot. One strong wind could knock the tree down.

Not sure, but I think you have to secure a permit from the DENR to cut a tree.

Not too sure about that sir, we had to get permits to relocate an Acacia tree in front of our house that was overgrown and destroying the sidewalk and made a Meralco post slant to one side because of its roots. Permits were issued naman, and it was moved to another part of the subdivision, and its doing well. :)

Maybe we needed a permit because it was a big tree, or because it needed a lot work to be done.
