Are you a .45 guy like me, or do you prefer one of the others? Also, what is your most accurate load?

I used to load revolver calibers like .38 special, .357, .44 mag, and .45LC. These days, however, I find myself churning out .45ACP most of the time. I think I'm going to also get back to loading .45LC, because I used to love shooting my Smith & Wesson model 25-5. Legendary gunsmith, Teddy Jacobson, did a trigger job on it several years ago, and I never shot it. It's time to tool up the 550 and get to work! :smoking:

45acp by far. When I was shooting CAS a lot, then it was pretty close between 45col & 45acp, about 2500rds/m total. By far more than all my other 19 calibers combined.

9mm, because I have four guns that shoot it. Once I get my 45ACP dies though, that will change.

If the son-in-law and grandson are with me then it's .45... 10 to 1 over anything else.

If I'm alone or with one of my older shooting buddies it's a wheel gun... the only time I'm gonna bend over is half way through a heart attack. (I'm starting to notice I get winded opening the cylinder.)

40SW and 223, about 10K round of each per year. Those are the 2 that I compete with most.

    9x19 and 223. Lots of it. 15-20K a year of 9x19 and 5-7K of 223.

Do they even sell powder in one pound bottles anymore?

When I first bought my LNL I loaded 4k 9mm, that was over a year ago. I havent loaded any 9mm since so I have been loading mostly 45, probably 4-5k at least. I'm addicted to casting/loading, and shooting my own 45 slugs. I do have several K .223 brass looking for something to do, if I ever finish preping it.

I started with .40 for my G27, so far 2500 rounds. Now I am pricing out 38/357 for my recent purchase, SS Security six. I made some friends at my range and they let me swipe some free brass, the best kind!

I'm about even on 40 & 45 but I have a couple 40 Glocks and they get used by my wife and friends so I actually load more 40. With the snow we've had the 357 wheel gun has seen more use, don't lose the brass.
    223 & 308 occasionally.
