Hey guys, i currently have a Glock, what ammo do you use at the range? Reloads are generally a no no for Glocks. Factory ammo like armscor ( I believe is the cheapest, correct me if wrong) is priced at approx P17.00 each. What are the cheaper alternatives? Thanks.

Reload your brass. Buy fmj or teflon heads and have them reloaded by stronghand, trueweight, etc.

Thanks for the replies! What exactly do you mean by using the barrel as bullet gauge?

I tried using reloads (in both stock Glock barrel and a Federal barrel) but it would jam, then used armscor factory loads - no problem.

Who does your reloads? They may not be sizing it right. To use your barrel as gauge, you need to disassemble the firearm, make sure it's empty. Then get the barrel and chamber all reloads in your barrel. If the ammo does not sits right, then the ammo is buntis and you will need to re-size that. Remember to use the glock barrel since this has tighter tolerance. Or I might be wrong, the Federal might have the tighter tolerance. You will need to have a Caliper to make sure.

What kind of jam do you experience?

I understand what you meant about using the barrel as a gauge.

    Description of Jam:
After a couple of good shots, the next bullet does not load properly to a point that the slide needs to be jerked a bit, this would mean a failure to load/feed (correct me if wrong). I'm not really sure what type of reloads they are, but like I said, using armcors factory loaded bullets, there were no problems. What I really want is just a cheaper alternative to using any factory loads.
I will try have the brass reloaded. Thanks again for the inputs.

failure to feed using reloads usually...but not all the time...means a magazine jam, or the bullets OAL, overall average length, is too long, 1.140 inches is a good OAL for glocks:)

We do not want to sway you away from reloads, they are fine as long as you get them from reputable loaders. Some just doesn't care. What caliber do you have? Ingat lang sa 40, you might get a double charge.

Pwede ang lead, just make sure you clean the barrel after 100 rounds or so. Check the barrel after 100 rounds and you will see the lead deposit on the bore. Pwede rin yung ibang heads that you mentioned. You don't need to clean it after 100 rounds (except teflon, I'm not familiar with it).

From my experience, teflon heads are as clean as fmj.

Ano glock niya? Kung 45 yan mag-monitor na lang siya ng reloaded brass at umiwas sa range pick-ups. ;)
