There seems to be some GTers that are into that area. I know Sidearmor is, and Alex_Knight posted some pics of the moon. I'm definately into it. Folks could post their amature pics, discuss events, ect. Lot's of subject matter for sure. Just a thought. ;E
I'm considering doing the moonscape wall mural, or maybe the space shuttle above the earth mural. Does that count? Avaliable at www.celestialproducts.com
Ah yes, the Horsehead Nebula. I've seen it maybe half a dozen times in my 12.5" Dob up on an 8000 ft. mountain and stable atmosphere. I just wished it looked like that (above) picture in my eye piece. ;f ;f ;f
Astronomy is one of my favorite pastimes once those looong summer days are over. Of course, once the summer is over and it gets dark then it is really cold. Still, living in the country I can take periodic warm-up breaks, and have yet to lose any digits to frostbite. I have a couple of scopes, my favorite is an old C8 Powerstar.
;+ Vic303,thanks for the link.Enjoyed myself for hours.I'd been given other links,but none this extensive.Be safe...^3
Yeah Vic, I've been checking out that site for several years. Great site. I was going to post it, but you beat me. Well, 8 votes and still no Sidearmor;M I know she's a space cadet. Sidearmor ignore Blast.;1 C'mon Patricia, your vote is worth a platoon of GTs.^c planetary postion chart: http://www.rasnz.org.nz/SolarSys/Orbits03A.htm edited: Well there used to be a chart, it's the homepage, but can't find the chart.
Of course I'm in. It says today that the Universe is shaped like a soccer ball, so let's kick it around.
I'm in as well. Used to have a telescope (till my brother broke it) and remember looking at the rings of saturn. Ok, its not much, but it sure thrilled me when I was 10! I'm also into weather, so I guess that would be covered in the 'science' part of the forum.
Thanks Patricia. Took you awhile, but you made it.;f I hope you can convince Eric to at least consider it. ~2 ^c ^5
