I suppose that may help some of the "What should I buy?" thread starter types. OTOH anyone that is that much of a follower could as easily end up carrying a 1911 had they taken classes from Colonel Cooper or a 9.5" Bowie knife had they talked to Bill Bagwell.

The difference is that in this case you are taking a near consensus opinion from a large group of knowledgeable experts, and in your examples you are taking an opinion from just one knowledgeable expert.

I wonder how many realize that he spits out “controversial” videos from time to time just to stay relavent in the world of YouTube. He, like several other Tube personalities realize that the best way to be viewed is to have some sort of school girl cat fight going on.
I’ve shot the guns that I depend on enough to be confident in them. I’ve got more confidence in them to go bang than I do his commentary. He reminds me of YankeeMarshal.

The takeaway is that you should probably carry a glock or M&P pistol chambered in 9mm, and carry HST or Gold Dot ammo.

If you deviate from that, you should realize you are deviating away from expert opinion... which isn't necesarily wrong, but you ought to have a meaningful reason for your own circumstances.

yeah....I'll stand my ground on "impactful", as the "usage" in that link indicates. We had a perfectly good word in "effective" before we started using the word "impact" incorrectly. But yes, as words get misused, they do indeed work their way into the dictionary as languages "evolve".

This is one of my pet peeves. Our language has been butchered and bastardized in recent times. It is sad.

Survey population is rangemaster certified instructors that self-selected responded to the online survey.
One additional item of interest to me is that the respondent preferred hand held lights vs. hangun attached lights.

The host was Tom Givens. THAT day he was not carrying a 1911 but he usually does. The "Clueful" carry all sorts of stuff.

If you bothered to watch the video then you would know. The guy in the video doesn’t even carry a Glock or M&P. All he did was to survey the attendees at this Rangemaster Instuctor conference and report his findings. Watch the video and then post.
