I'm going with a single action something. A fun cowboy gun that will wet their whistle for more wheelguns. .22 LR wheelies are fun but I couldn't imagine NOT having my .45 Colt Vaquero.

I am not a revolver guy so I am thinking of selling/trading my 686 and Chiappa to buy the 2020 Python in 6”. I love the look of it and I have to have it :)

I’ll use it for plinking only.

For general purpose, a S&W 686 or 586 is hard to beat.

If I could only have one, it would be a 6" 586 or 686.

:agree: Agree that Berto chooses wisely. Any K-Frame, but the Model 10 is the sine qua non of Smiths.

Keep the 686 and get rid of the butt ugly Chiappa. The 686 and Python are too good looking to share a safe with a Chiappa. Don

Seriously? That's like asking what type of car should everyone own.
If I had to chose just one, it would be a 4" GP100 in 357. It would do everything I'd need a revolver to do.

Yep - that or its fraternal stainless twin the Model 64 was my first thought. The Model 19 is also a great choice, so you could use either .38 Spcl or .357 Mag.
