Obviously not the Marlboro Ma show. Lol. Those look like no go MA models.

    I wasn't even tempted.

I went to the Marlboro show today. Even though the jerky smelled really great, and the overpriced guns were just all over the place, I went home with all my money in my pocket minus the $10 entry fee. I was tempted to buy a couple mags but no new toys today. :crying:

Dallas show. Ballpark 1000. Dummies put the beef jerky and bumper stickers by the exit. I was all out of money by then 😢. Polish underfolder and ATI gsg 522. Think I'm going to sbr the ATI and add a gemtech suppressor.

Nice pick-ups. I had a gsg and it was tons of fun. Only sold it to fund the 15-22 as a 'trainer' to my AR.

Anyone interested I'll sell the gsg at cost. Wife wants a 870 instead. 405 in the box with 2 22 rd mags, all paperwork, tools and unfired. I'm actually losing $25 on the deal but got to keep her happy. Pm me if interested.

Very nice. While I agree it might not be all shows and might require some digging I continue to believe there are still some deals and interesting stuff at shows.

Based on the number of assault rifles for sale, I venture that Obama is going to get re elected.

I was at that show with a friend of mine. He bought a Polish under folder too. Think he paid $599.99 for it. Sure was a crowded show this time.

    Lol

Usually, the shows around here are heavy into overpriced NIB handguns you can buy at local shops for cheaper and the guys wanting 1.5-3x more than value for WWII guns. This was a sea of black rifles.

I was selling a couple of guns before buying these and looked at a Polish under folder for 529.00. I walked to the ATM and it was gone by the time I got back. I bought the next one I saw. I only saw 3 on the whole floor but alot of wasrs. Black rifles were everywhere. Went back this morning and grabbed a cheap shotgun for the closet.

I have never EVER seen a good deal on a gun at a show, and this is going back to 1999. Seems like the "deals" are at best about the same as what you could get anyway, and the rest is overpriced new stuff as well as iffy and overpriced used stuff.

They seem to have the idea that they get to jack the prices up to cover booth rental.

Another common sight is shopworn Remington ammo that they are asking 25%-50% more than Wally World sells it for.

I once needed a pin and a punch and it just happened that there was a gunshow in town. They were more than mail order, and admission was more than shipping would have been, but it was available right then.

Sometimes, if you look really really hard, you can find a decent deal at a gunshow, but it isn't worth the time.

And is it just my area, or do gun shows tend to draw mostly the crap of society?

What were they asking for the Garand like Walt in Gran Torino had? What about M1 Carbines?

I bet they didn't have a Rockola like I got!

I've noticed this too recently. I only go to a few shows a year but the last show I was at about two months ago was nothing but stag AR's as far as the eye could see. About this time last year nothing but 1911's.
