I went to the NRA Convention today (Friday) in St. Louis, MO. Great convention.

I met Wayne LaPierre, the Gunny Lee Ermey, Jeff Quinn from GunBlast.com, Hickok45 and his son (AKA the camera man).

Hickok45 and Quinn both seem like really nice guys.
Hickok45 is huge. When he says he is 6'8" tall I think he is being conservative. He is a walking tree and his son is almost just as big.

If you are near St. Louis you should drop in.

Glock has a great display with lots of free pins, pens, key chains, stickers and magazines, but nothing new from Glock on display.

2013 is in Houston and 2014 is Indianapolis. I'll try to make Indy cause Houston is too far.

I met the Hickok's last spring at a shoot in East Tennesse. When they stand together they block the sun.

I went to the last one in Houston and felt like a kid in a candy store.
To say that it was awesome would be an understatement.

Other than the M&P shield, I handled the revolvers being made by EAA. They are made in Germany, heavy, but seem to be quality guns.

Every manufacture I spoke with said they can not make guns fast enough for the demand. Savage Arms was reported to me to be about five months behind. Glock about two months.

Berretta had a tactical looking 22 long rifle carbine. I do not remember what they called it and I can not find it on the web.

Free if you are an NRA member. IIRC a member can bring one guest.

Free to get in, but a hotdog and soda cost $9.00. I bought a Glock T-shirt and sign which set me back another $25.00. Parking was $5.00 which I though was fair for downtown St. Louis. Not counting gas, my day at the convention was under $40.00.

I live about 20 minutes from down town St. Louis.

Actually, it is for the member and 'immediate' family members; wife, children. They would not allow my dad to attend; so I gifted him a membership to get in.

It was a good time. I tried to see Hickok45 but was unable to catch up to him. I did get to meet Massad Ayoob, seemed to be a really nice guy. The Gunny was pretty cool too.
