Took my new to me Yugo 59/66A1 to the range an put some Tula 122gr FMJ over the chorny -cause I like to know how fast my ammo shoots so I can best judge hits at longer ranges. I figured they would be a might faster in my Yugo cause it has a 22" barrel where most SKS are a bit shorter and AKs are definately shorter ! They definately were faster then if they had been run out of an AK. No target cause I splashed one on a rock used to hold it up- target got mangled! But the first 5 rounds were in the bull at about 1.5" group at 100 yards.

    Ammo: Tula 122gr FMJ
Chrony set at 10' from muzzle.

    1. 2564 fps Avg Vel. 2503 fps
    2. 2489 fps SD 36
    3. 2531 fps ES 62.5
    4. 2549 fps
    5. 2442 fps
    6. 2520 fps
    7. 2541 fps
    8. 2525 fps
    9. 2464 fps
    10. 2453 fps

Over all not stellar results but for cheap plinking ammo not bad! I might run the Wolf 123 gr FMJ next. Now to decide whether to reload for this thing- already have a cast bullet to use- If prices don't come down for X39 I might just have too cause this Yugo is just to much fun not to shoot it alot!
