well its been difficult finding a job .. and no such luck,

so i bit the bullet and ate my pride and just filed my paperwork ..

ive been let go before, and always found another job .. but time it just isnt happening ..

i dont feel bad about yall that will say im going to leach the system ..

as i have been paying in for a while also ..

im just hoping that they dont deny the payment or whatever they can do on there end ..

if they do i will be notifying the atf, local authoritys, epa / osha , and a few other things .. :whistling:

Good luck to you my friend. I used to say (and it was true) " I can get three jobs on the way home if I want" but those times are over. Do what we can.

Times are hard. You're not leaching off of anything.......you paid into it and it's there to help our working people when times are rough. Only crappy part is that you can't go to school to gain any new skills while on unemployment, even though that's something that can help you get off of unemployment. Leave it to the government to not want that

Nothing to be ashamed of brother. I'm sure a lot of us on here have had to draw a little unemployment at some time or another.

Hang in there and best of luck to you! :wavey:

That's not true in Oregon as I'm collecting full unemployment while attending a training course full time for 6 months.

It's not leaching...it's an insurance that you paid your hard earned money for. Do you feel like your leaching when some jackass runs into your car and you gotta file a claim with your insurance company ?

Good luck...I'm sure you'll end up with a better job, it might just take a few months. Take care...

Nope, in Texas you can go certain training and technical schools. I had a friend go through the truck driving school last September on the state's dime while on unemployment.

    Best of Luck Harley!

I have no problem whatsoever helping a person down on their luck when they need that extra pick-me-up in between jobs.

Now if you keep collecting my money your whole life while having 27 kids.....well then you a damn leech

    :wavey::supergrin:

I really hope you can find a new job quickly. I don't think anyone likes being on unemployment. My dad has been unemployed for quite a while and he hates it. What really upsets him is that he had been working full time since he graduated high school a little over 20 years ago. He never had a problem finding a job until he got laid off last summer. This recession has been a bad one.

I'm a sophomore in college right now. Hopefully the economy will be a lot better when I graduate in a couple years.

Anyone who says you're just leaching off the system, put them on your ignore list. It shows what kind of person they are.

One thing to be aware of so it doens't bite you in the ass. UI is taxable income, make sure you save enough of it to pay the taxes next year as I don't believe they withold for you.

good luck getting back on your feet.
