She's being proactive. The other families will go after her. HH

Kobe used the pilot several hundred times, all of a sudden he's the problem?

The helicopter's owner. Kobe's estate will be liable for hiring them. HH

Well if there is any recording or witness that heard Kobe say "Take us up anyway" then his family gets sued.

Perhaps the old story of "old pilots" and "bold pilots". That will easily drive the lawsuit.

is a shame what money does to people. did you see how much make up she was using at the final "adios" . looks like she in fishing the new one . I'm just saying. I hate the celebrity life style and money hungry a-holes. so sad with all the money and they can't buy one second of extra life. so be happy and do the most of your time.

That may be, however, if I read correctly he was officially "warned/cautioned" a few years ago for essentially the same type incident, I think there is exposure for the company...if nothing else, the suit will max-out their insurance limit. I am no pilot...never claimed to know much about flying...but it seems to me ( an admitted layman) many such crashes occur in bad weather...is there no good predictor?...do they have to fly when it is bad weather?...do the clients "pressure" them to "just get us to the destination"??...IDK...but there are pilots here on GT...perhaps they will weigh-in

You're only as good as your most recent landing.

The pilot has the final word on flying. He just may have gotten fired, but he and others would be alive.

    I was a Airplane/Helicopter Pilot/Instructor for 50+ years.
There is a LONG list of "Pilot Error", Weather and Mechanical problems and other human error that has killed MANY Pilots and Passengers.

I can't even count all the dead pilots I knew, or knew of.
My first airplane instructor was killed at a air show.
I "lucked out" MANY, MANY times, when I should have been killed.

Bottom line, if you can't stomach the possibility of being killed in an aircraft, don't get in it.

My Wife looking at the airplane in which the Instructor and passenger were killed...........
I flew that plane the day before.

My Wife landing a Piper Colt. She was a good pilot.

I would think that each family would have to file suit but that is just a guess on my part. It will be interesting to see if this company can stay in business when all is said and done.
