Over ten years, just getting broke in.
Rebuilt ours this year with parts from Home Depot. Maybe not pretty, but cooks like new.

Got one a year ago. I will never have anything else. You have to have the place you bought it from deliver it and set it up.
A friend of mine had a grill like that except if you looked under it the replacement panel was reflective and said “speed limit”.

I forgot to mention Kamado Joe is just as good or better than BGE but they can be challenging to assemble IMHO. As fair as a difference from Gas grills, I feel they lock in the juices of the meat you are grilling, you can grill or smoke or cook pizza with them and they hold a given temp very well. The lump charcoal is relatively expensive but it lasts a long time and can be used more than once.
I was asking about why the place you buy it from has to set it up. You covered that. Thank you.
