Well, the GT Hoosier get-together happened this past Sunday.

Several folks attended, shot the breeze and some targets.

Funny, though, out of the first 4 or so people there, no Glocks were visible....

I think everyone had a good time.

Have to try it again sometime.

I wanted to come, too, but had other commitments (sorry).

I know how hard it is to get folks to attend "gatherings". With all the trouble "we've" had getting a local, central IN pro gun organization going, I felt like I was Jews to a hog roast!

I wanted to come, but it was my best friend's last day in town. He just re-enlisted in the US Army (he served three years before, including a tour in Kuwait and Iraq during the first Gulf War). I delivered him to an Army NCO a little after 18:30 hours.

Glad to come out...of course. Hopefully we can put together another one in the spring.

It was good to meet a few of the fello GT'ers, too. I don't know who came later, but early on it was

It only takes $450 and that includes the tax stamp. ;)

After shooting biggl's Ruger with the Stratus, I want one really really bad. It even suppressed mini mags as well as the standard velocity. The Federal bulk pack definitely had more "crack" to it though.

I think I am going to give a class on the in's and out's of buying NFA items.

It appears I have infected one more person with NFA disease.:tongueout:

Why don't we try to do this on a semi-regular basis during the months the range is open? Like maybe once a month?

That way those of us who couldn't make it this time might the next!

I think that's a pretty good idea, Rhino! Even if you ARE from Crawfordsville. ;)

How about alternating Saturday and Sunday? Sundays are no good for me.

I had a good time, just not enough time to hang around all day. biggl35, thanks for allowing me the opportunity to fire suppressed, now I want one and a class on acquiring NFA items would be a good thing. :)
It was was nice meeting some of you on here and maybe we can do it again, EC is my home range since I'm pretty close by, and I need to get out there more.

Hey, as a fellow Crawfordsvill-ian, I'm allowed, By God, to poke fun at others. hehe :laughabove:

Just curious, Rhino, have you been down to the Waveland Gun Club at all? I've been there a few times and like the place...just wondering others' opinions.

That's quite a drive for me, but I'd be willing to do a road-trip sometime. Living along the Michigan border is good for eating the best sweet corn in the world and buying booze on Sunday afternoons, but not much else haha!

I'll check back if there's a Spring time date organized. I also have a couple of rifles I would be willing to sell/trade if anyone was interested.

Glad some of you got out though!

It is totally your right! And it's mine to respond with a virtual wedgie, a virtual kick in the nads, and a virtual fleeing into the night!

I was at the Waveland club once a couple of years ago. I stopped by the bowling pin shoot on my way home from the USPSA match at RileyCC (Terre Haute). This was before the 300 yard range was available.

I'll probably join there some day soon to use the 300 yards.

If you sweet talk them, you can set your own shooting bench up adjacent to the building and give yourself 350 yards. Can't be any other shooters nearby, though...

I don't know how much it is to join, but for non members it's only $3 to shoot...unlimited time.
