It's what Americans do as their civic duty. I'm proud of you for doing it.

I early voted today at the courthouse. Only voted for one democrat; a neighbor that has been on the township board for umpteen years, she's got to be pushing 86 years!

In high school Civics and Government, we are told every vote counts. In the real world, not so much.

Why are only a few states considered toss-ups?

Having said that, educate yourself and vote.

Every vote does count.
Some states are traditional swing states.
Even in a one party location your vote could make a difference.

Stroll down memory lane.
Way back in 74 we had a local ellection for the school board. One candidate I absolutely though was awful. But was favored to win.
I mentioned to my parents that that guy was running. My parents also thought the favored guy was awful.
So our three votes made the difference because the favored candidate lost by one vote. Even after a recount. This is a local position but show how every vote counts

Presidential. Look at 2000 FL.

Before that 1960 campaign.

Folks there ain’t no lock. You have to get out and vote to cancel out the socialists cheating. You know the democrat voting mantra. Vote early, and vote often, even if your a dead illegal alien.

Don't get me wrong. I encourage good citizenship. Vote.

In a local election (school board), each vote has a greater chance of being critical.

FL has been a swing state forever, and is one of the handful of swing states I was thinking of. But CA, NY, AL, MS (and many more states both candidates are tactically ignoring), they're pretty much baked in. Yes, upsets happen.

Again, vote. But don't vote again in the same cycle. :)

Your vote only doesn’t matter if you don’t vote. No you did good. I have only missed voting once and that was when I was overseas and did not get an absentee ballot. From now on I only vote in person. Don’t trust any form of mailing now.
