Well, after a couple of emails and 5 long weeks with minimal communication here goes.
First communication with Brad was great, fast and courteous
response came in at 01-29-2006 06:39 AM

Second communication was also good, came in at 01-31-2006 10:23 AM, again very fast and courteous.

So that day, I sent in my slide....
Got the confirmation back, slide was delivered on 2/2.

So as I was waiting I sent a quick pm to Brad asking how things were going at 02-13-2006 04:07 PM
    [IMG]
    No response
So here is the next try.

And then there is the last straw

Now, I might be the exception, and I hope I am, but it seems to me that this man's word means nothing if you note the date and times promised. I never once wanted him to rush, but now I just want my stinking slide back!!!!:soap:
He seemed to have fair prices and I have read nothing bad about them, but this service is a joke. I can not recommend them any longer.
    YMMV

Mods, I am also sending this link to CCR to see if will rectify this situation ASAP.
    Mike

    In fairness to CCR,

I may be going to be admitted to the hospital tomm for some routine stuff, so I may not be here to update this thread if my slide does happen to come this week.
If what CCR posted is true, about my slide going out on Fri, it should be here no later then Wed. or Thurs. I guess we'll see..

I will however update as soon as I can with whatever developments may come.

Good luck with the hospital thing...

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that you seem to worry
    relentlessly and unnecessarily...

    ;c

Thanks Bill for the well wishes.

    But worry relentlessly and unnecessarily?

All I asked for was a to be informed when my parts were due back?
Which CCR said he would do and failed to do so.
So at this point I have no idea if he is tellig the truth or not. I asked him for a confirmation number and again he never got back to me......

So far CCR's communication has been horrible with me, and like I said at the top, I really hope that I have been the exception to the rule with them.
    YMMV

Sorry you had/are having troubles. He was always prompt and friendly with emails when I did business with him. Not that that negates your situation.

BTW, I get compliments on my slide at the range all the time. CCR did a good job with mine; I'm sure yours will be just as pleasing. Too bad you're having a problem at this stage, though.

    Thanks XMM,
    Glad you like yours.
I'm sure mine will look great as soon as it gets here.
Priority mail from TN to Fl 3 days tops. According to CCR it went out thursday night or friday morning. I am really hoping to see it soon....

I tried to change the subject line in the first post but couldn't do it.
Anyway it appears that my slide my have gotten lost in a shuffle in CCR's shop but HE DID SEND IT OUT WHEN HE SAID HE DID and I thank him for it.

It did take a little longer than expected but that does happen sometimes. Overall I would give CCR Refinishing a B- only for the above reasons with communication. His product is excellent (we will see how it wears) and his prices can't be beat.

    So without further ado here they are;

I also have some super huge close-ups if anybody would like them emailed.
Looks great!! Now to shoot it again!!
Thanks Brad for being a man of your word.

You, my freng, have one interesting looking Glock! ;)

I can 100% guarantee that you'll have more people asking you about your gun than I do mine! Enjoy that thing.

You should post some pics of it in the General Glocking section. Let others enjoy. Some may not dig the color scheme, but hey, that's what is cool about it - not everyone has one.
