I hate to do it but this thing gets changed out this weekend (web server):

$ uptime

I've had one that was something like 700 days. mail server primarily.

Yeah, this is with all the patches and updates posted to the machine. The only thing I didn't update was the kernel.

That's a pretty good run time. Here's my longest running server without needing a shutdown or reboot. It's a webserver running Apache 2 on a FreeBSD system.

Yeah, the longest I've ever seen was just shy of 6 years. It was a BSD server.

I just feel bad for this thing that's been working its little heart out for just over a year.
