The guy in Alabama didn't kill anybody and wounded 16 but in Toronto last night:

Oh wait - handguns are illegal in Canada!! How could this happen.

Link seems unsafe. It's trying to redirect me to a site that my browser flagged.

Anyway, guns are not illegal in Canada; I don't know where you got that notion from. Canada has a gun ownership rate of around 30% last time I looked and they were among the top five western nations with the most guns per capita.

Thats odd - I am using FF as well and log into The Globe's website all the time with no warning. Maybe try this link:

    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/new...lways-had-a-smile-on-her-face/article4421786/

But handguns are certainly more restricted (very limited ability to CHL up there) than the US, I'm an expatriate ex-CDN citizen. Although I expect things have gotten better under Harper.

I texted a friend in Canada about the shooting and his response was:
"<expletive deleted> Jamaican Posse's". Wonder what they will do when MS-13 gets up there.

There's the problem - your linking to the https version. It's not a big deal but will give a site unsecure warning for people who aren't logged in since the security certificates are for the content host (akamia) not globeandmail.

    Try this one instead

    (Editing to say ^^^^THIS^^^^

Well, Akamai is a leading CDN (Content Delivery Network) that is used by a lot of media outlets to host their content.

An Akamai URL should not be a problem.

    Charles Whitman anyone?

    USA wins.

But then if you really wanna go balls to the walls, Anders from Norway who killed some insane amount like 70+

    Norway wins all in all.
