I have a flat screen monitor, about a week old,it has wavy lines running across it.My other monitor which was not a flat screen did the same.I checked for interference and can't find any. Any solutions?
Video card... check the refresh rate on the settings. If still doing it, your video card may be going out. B
Ok.I tried that but I can't change the refresh rate on mine.I run Windows ME(I know that sucks, but thats what I have).Do you know how to check the refresh rate on Windows ME?
Hit it on the side a couple times, that's waht works for some of my older monitors when they act up... ;f Seriously though, I can't quite remember how it is with ME, but I think it's in with the video card settins under either diplay properties or in the device manager for the card in question. I haven't worked with ME in a loooong time so I may be incorrect about that...
Here's a link to instructions to change refresh rate for ME: http://www.ati.com/support/faq/winme/winmeconfigchangerefreshrate.html And here's a link to a very good monitor test. It will help you determine what adjustments you need to make, if any. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=960 Hope this helps.
