I think you missed a '0'. It's about 800,000 LE in America. Hundreds of thousands of cop-civilian interactions every day. Very few issues.

Is it certain George’s twenty was bogus? If so, was he deliberately trying to pass it, or was he just a “downstream” victim of a counterfeiter? I don’t know.

Beat me to it. 800,000-1,000,000 total LEO’s in the US, I believe. However, that includes all the Feds and State agencies that never leave a desk. It also is too high. For example, one of our Deputies is also a small town Police Chief. This counts as two cops, but really, he can only do one at a time.

ohhhhh, now you did it, I think YOU missed a zero (just bustin' your stones)

Not 100's of thousands but millions. Even if only half of them are on the street I'm gonna guess they interact with at least 5 people a day (low guess), which means TWO MILLION interactions a day.

Considering the scum of the earth cops have to deal with, Only 3 shootings a day out of MILLIONS of contacts seems like a pretty good number

You're absolutely right. I looked it up some months ago to gain some perspective and was very surprised at the number of cop-civilian interactions.

But, but, we are told, and it's drilled into all of us, that the actions of one minority criminal isn't representative of the whole race, but the actions of a few bad apple cops represent the whole justice system.

There is a new element in all this. Money. It pays to keep this controversy going. Lawyers, family, politicians, the press, all benefit in some way.

I'm hoping for Omega Man, but would settle for Escape from New York, if we can leave the New Yorkers in there when we build the wall. I think the idea would catch on and we could do "Escape from LA" next.

Let's back it one more step. Are we sure that is real information? Do we buy anything reported without a ton of scrutiny? Even if there was fake money involved why are they judging he knew it ahead of time. Not enough info on the info provided even.

Is this starting to stink more and more or am I just out of bed too early? :countingsheep:

The problem, lately, is soooooo many people are saying crazy stuff, that you just can't tell who's trying to be funny and who's genuinely nuts.

I came across counterfeit money quite often. Only once were the feds (USSS) interested enough to do more than pick it up from the property room for disposal.

wow! I read the twitter feed...what a cesspool of black Muslim prison gang hate! Tareeq and Rasheed are out in full force!

Did you notice that CNN’s number one dumbass, Soledad O’Brien is prominently featured?

But, but, but, she’s an “unbiased journalist”. No prejudices in her. Right.

Cute and release for drugs would go a long way towards reducing the pre and post conviction jail population. Treat drug possession like the public health problem that it is.

I think we are also going to see some hard and fast barriers put up on military equipment and the emulation of the military by law enforcement. Too many cops like to play Navy SEAL dress up without getting even 1/100th the training that military special operations would.

Which begs the question, if so many of these interactions are peaceful, why are so many of them handled as if every person is a terrorist or muderer? I mean, cops do assault and kill innocent people from time to time but you guys say we shouldn’t treat all of you with that same level of extreme fear.
