I have been looking at getting the Warren Sevigny Competition sights but I don't know what front sight height to get. For those that have tried them, does the .245 shoot with POA=POI like the website states or do most people just get the .215 and find that it shoots POA. I just don't want to get the wrong one and have to worry about switching it out.
Thanks

I just ordered a set of those same sights today and had to ask the same question before I ordered them. I was told that if you want to use the 6 o'clock sight picture then order the .215 front sight, if you want to use the cover it up sight picture then buy the .245 sight. I was also told that most people use the .215 sight so it's easier to see and hit targets like falling plates.
Hope this helps

I didn't know this, and bought two sets of Warren/Sevigny Tactical Carry Sights. They came with the .215 front sight height. I've always shot poa/poi, and these shot high beyond 10 yards. I don't like it at all, and I'm in the process of trying to get them replaced with .245 height post.

I had a set of Sevigny sights with a .215" front and it shot good on a G-19. I think the sight was .115" wide. It was too skinny for me. I now use 10-8 .140" rear with their brass or tritium bead front.

I wonder if you would please tell me where you got your sights from. I haven't been able to find anyplace with the .245" height post as an option.

Thanks

I have found thier .215 front sights to impact as much as 7-8" high at 25 yds which is just too much for my tastes. .245 front is perfect POA=POI at 25 yds and IMO this makes hitting the 10-12 yard head shots in local matches much more predictable.

What caliber and weight of bullet are you using?

I just received mine and was wanting to know the best way to put the F.O. in the front. (heat source?) :wavey:
I just use a bic lighter. Hold the flame just close enough to get it to melt.
I prefer the green FO fibers myself...
