Don't know for sure, but if the gun is sent in for repair, it will return with it restored to factory configuration. My buds Glock slide hit the floor and bent the the slide rail; when it came back from Glock, the ghost connector was removed, as well as the ss guide rod; and replaced with Glock parts. The other parts were returned in a plastic bag.

Like Steve said, if you return it to them for whatever reason to have them work on it, it will be returned to having all factory parts. They'd likely replace the parts that were modified to install the safety namely the frame and charge you for the replacements. Then they may refuse to return the modified parts.

I might think it would void it for anything frame related. I think with that safety kit, the frame has to be modified... I can see Glock frowning on that.

I'm just basing this on various threads I've read regarding Glock warranty questions with responses from guys like Butch and DannyR who have lots of history with the platform.

I would think "permanent" modifications are definitely gonna take you out of the "free" repair category.

Why not sell it and buy a handgun with a manual safety? :dunno:
Not being a smart ash or anything, but I wonder about this also.

There are plenty of guns out there with manual safeties that have long proven histories of being just as reliable as Glocks. And most are better looking, too.

I've said this before, many times. Glocks are not the end all to handguns.

And IIRC, it does void the Glock warranty. But check to be sure.

Alex Hamilton is a member of the American Pistolsmiths Guild and his work has been featured in many industry and consumer publications. Click on the link attached and scroll down to the Glock safety section then click on the Glock Factory Warranty Letter. I have personally had to send a Glock back to the factory which was equipped with a Commonoli safety with no issues from Glock regarding handling the repair. (The warranty issue had nothing to do with the safety.)
