Well it's been what... forever since I last logged into GT. Been spending my time enjoying myself (and working out/exercising 2-3 hrs/day for the last 11 months). I have to say I am better for it instead of sitting in front of a computer BS'ing.

So I finally received my new Noveske 300 AAC Blackout a few months back and I thought I would post some pics as it is a relatively new and very exciting development in urban warfare as it brings two very alluring qualities to the table. The first being that it is an extremely accurate and versatile round (~.75 MOA). With the vast bullet selection of the 30 caliber assortment this round can push punishing ballistics beyond that of the 5.56, 6.8, and 7.62x39. Here is more info for you die hard number crunchers (http://www.300aacblackout.com/).

The second quality that makes this firearm attractive in terms of an SPR build is that it can be made extremely quiet. With Remington 220gr. ammo the firearm shoots very subsonic speeds but still capable of accuracy out to 300m which is very alluring. With a firearm report can be likened to that of a suppressed 9mm and this is nothing short of amazing in terms of CQB/CQM urban warfare that I am sure .mil and .gov organizations will take full advantage of in cases where stealth, speed, and security are all of highest priorities.

So after long & careful consideration opted for a 10" SBR Noveske. This is not my first AR and having had dozens by various makers I have found Noveske Rifle Works to be top-notch superior in accuracy, fit, quality, and finish. For optics I chose a Trijicon Accupoint 4x variable power scope mounted with American Defense scope mount. For suppression I chose the AAC 762SD Silencer. There are other options out there for someone wanting to build the perfect SPR rifle and that is what makes SPR rifles so unique is that you can customize them exactly to what you want.

So without further delay.... here is my new rifle from Noveske Rifle Works:

It also makes for a great living room decoration...

That is very fine weapon you have there, well done. 220grns out of a very compact platform. Impressive.

My Noveske 8" .300 BLK upper is sad and lonely. It waits patiently for its Certificate of Birth from the ATF.

    Beautiful rifle. Thanks for posting.

What does the term "Blackout" mean?
    Is that just a name?

So am i correct with my findings that the 220grn will be moving at around 1,000fps and the 125grn will be around 2200fps?

That looks great! I am leaning towards a supersonic build for myself now.

I believe so. I have not shot the 125gr. as I am pretty much just interested in shooting subsonic but I do know of at least one person that has done some big game hunting with the 125 gr and did pretty well with it on his elk hunting trip.

I would like to go elk hunting myself as it would still suppress pretty well .... just be a little louder than using 220gr.

Hey Javelin! Long time no see.:wavey: I was just wondering what happened to you the other day. Glad you've been doing great, staying away from the BS'ing and the pissing matches around here.

Another very fine AR you got. Congrats!

Very nice. I'm toying with the idea of getting a Noveske 6.8 for pig/deer. I will have to inquire more into this blackout cartridge before ordering.
