I have been away for a while. I have been thinking about purchasing a new G17 Or A New G19 Either a gen 3 or 4 doesn't matter will be carrying in a laptop bag so the size isn't an issue. Just wanted the folks of Glocktalk to give me their wonderful and colorful opinions!!:supergrin::wavey:

If size doesn't matter, get the highest capacity that you can shoot well. If size really isn't an issue, take a look at the 35 or 17L. I like the longer sight picture of my 24.
I personally like the new texturing of the gen4's better.

I vote for the G19 Gen3. IMO it just doesn't get any better. Can double as a duty weapon or CCW. It is very accurate and although the barrel is a tad shorter than the 17 it can reach out pretty accurately.

I have a 19 and a 23 but if I was tight on cash and wanted a few caliber options, I'd buy a G23, 9mm conversion barrel and G32 barrel. Then you'll have three guns in one. 9mm, .357Sig and .40S&W

    Good luck! :)

Either the 17 or the 19 you will be happy with. I bought my G3 17 6 months ago and liked it so much I bought a G3 19 2 weeks ago. Both are awesome shooters although now I prefer the 19 over the 17. If you are worried about ammo capacity, the 19 can use the 17s mags.

I too was wanting a new Glock, I couldn't stop myself, I got in my truck, drove to LGS and bought a new Gen 3 21. I was thinking of getting a 30 until I put my big paws around it. I pick it up on Tue. It will keep my model 20, and 17L company.

Dont rule out the G-22 40 S&W if cost is an issue for ammo then definitley a G-17,good luck.

I am always on the lookout for a new to me Glock just as long as it was produced prior to December 2006,my own rule which so far hasn't failed me.
Recently added a G 19,produced in 1999,it hadn't been used enough to even have any kind of mark on it. Oh and it just shoots and shoots every thing I have feed it,no brass in the face or anywhere other than 4 30 5 o'clock and way behind. SJ 40
