oops....edited my reply below with the contact info of a dealer that has them coming in.
You didn't click on my link.
I want the TRP OPERATOR, not just the TRP.
Thanks anyway though.
give MO a call at Federal Way discount guns at 253.927.5229
he has several of the TRP Operators on order which will be arriving soon. His price is $1279.95.
He stated that springfield is heavily backordered on these, but since he placed a huge order with them at the Shot Show, they are allocating a few for him at the top of the list.
If the price is in your ballpark, give him a ring.
His name is MOE, the owner.
yup, you are right. I missed that detail.
called a dealer friend about your TRP operator. Put the info in the post above.
i'm guessing you are looking for a gently used one then?
My dealer has NIB's on the way. going to be hard pressed to find one for some time other places.
Plus, my FFL can get one for me for significantly less than $1279, but I greatly appreciate your assistance.
I'm trying to see if there is a gently used one out there, but they are hard to come by and when they do crop up, they usually get sold immediately.
Just sold my TRP Operator here for $950.
I loved that pistol, but I upgraded to a TRP Professional, so I really don't miss the Operator
I think I saw yours here. You are in CA, right?
I would have bought yours but frankly, I want one closer to mint/NIB condition.
I am not too hopeful for finding one used, so I'll likely have my FFL order one in a few days.
Good luck. Personally, I don't like the current quality of the TRP Operators that are now produced. Seems like they are just cranking them out.
I suggest the TRP Pro with rail if u can swing it
Hey, how long did it take you to wear down the finish so much on yours?
Is the Armory Kote not very durable, or were you hard on the gun?
The armory kote is pretty durable, but the Black-T fin ish on my TRP Pro is much better in terms of wear and appearance.
My TRP Operaor that I sold, held up pretty well considering the holster I used was pretty hard leather. However, over time, the armory kote got "shiny" whereas, the black-T onmy TRP pro did not.
My dealer is having a hard time finding them too....
Yup. They are a pian to find. SA only makes them in batches. I waited 5 months for mine when I bought it.
Sheesh.....tell me about it!!
There have been a few private party ones I've seen on various forums, but either I've hesitated too long or they get snapped up before I see them!!!
Now that I have funds readily available I can't find the damn gun!
Try Bachman Gun in Dallas TX. Last week they had two used Springfields TR guns. I'm not sure they are the ones you are looking for but it's worth a call. I glanced at them but didn't pay much attention I think they were $899.00 and $935.00.
I have a TRP Operator for sale. I've done quite a bit of work to it. I guess the most unique thing about it is the finish. Everything but the slide and mainspring housing is done in Lauer Weaponry's stainless steel "DuraCoat". On top of that all the MIM internals are polished as well as the sides of the trigger bow. Beavertail safety is "flushed" to the frame. All in all it's a sweet shooter. Has about 1500 rounds through it with no misfires or jams. I'd like to get $1200 for it. I'm working on pics right now so let me know if you're interested.
